Synopsis:
Breeds locally in ceanothus thickets in the Rogue Valley and in
Mountain Mahogany thickets in southern Klamath and
Lake Cos. Most notable are the records from northeastern Harney, southern
Malheur, central Lake (confirmed breeding), Baker,
and central Lane Counties.

Relative Detectability:
Difficult to detect and confirm breeding of this
inconspicuous species.
Challenge:
Check apparently suitable thickets to determine if this species
nests more widely in southeastern Klamath and
southwestern Lake Counties. Determine northern limits of its Oregon range.
